Who We Are
The World Clock - Time Zones & Office Hours extension ("the Extension") is developed and maintained by AirportTaxiExpress, a trading name operated from the United Kingdom.
Data We Collect
None. The Extension does not collect, store, transmit or process any personal data whatsoever. Specifically:
- No personal information (name, email, address, phone number)
- No browsing history or activity
- No location data or IP addresses
- No cookies, tracking pixels or analytics scripts
- No authentication or login credentials
- No financial or payment information
- No health, biometric or demographic data
How the Extension Works
The Extension operates entirely within your browser. It performs the following actions:
- Time zone calculations - performed locally using your browser's built-in JavaScript
IntlAPI and IANA timezone database. No server requests are made. - Sunrise and sunset calculations - computed locally using a mathematical algorithm based on latitude data stored within the Extension. No external API calls are made.
- Destination preferences - the cities you add are saved in your browser's local extension storage (
chrome.storage.localor equivalent). This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party. - Country flag images - small flag icons are loaded from
flagcdn.com, a public CDN. This is the only external network request the Extension makes. We do not control flagcdn.com and recommend reviewing their privacy policy separately.
Permissions
The Extension requests no special browser permissions. It does not access your tabs, browsing history, bookmarks, downloads or any other browser data. It only displays a popup panel when you click the toolbar icon.
Data Sharing and Third Parties
Since we do not collect any data, there is nothing to share, sell, rent, trade or disclose to any third party. We do not use any analytics services, advertising networks, data brokers or tracking technologies within the Extension.
Data Retention
Your destination preferences are stored locally on your device for as long as the Extension is installed. When you uninstall the Extension, all locally stored data is automatically removed by your browser. You can also clear your saved destinations at any time by removing individual cities within the Extension interface.
Children's Privacy
The Extension is not directed at children under 13 years of age. Since we do not collect any data from any user, we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your Rights Under UK GDPR
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have rights regarding your personal data. However, as we do not collect or process any personal data through the Extension, these rights do not apply in practice. For completeness, your rights include:
- The right to access your personal data
- The right to rectification
- The right to erasure
- The right to restrict processing
- The right to data portability
- The right to object to processing
