The A3 around Guildford is a known bottleneck, particularly on the stretch through the Guildford one-way system and the Hindhead tunnel approach, where weekday traffic between 07:30 and 09:30 can add twenty minutes or more to the journey.

Beyond Guildford the road opens up again as it approaches the M25 interchange at Junction 10, known locally as the Wisley interchange.

Traffic heading anticlockwise towards Gatwick on this section of the M25 is generally lighter than the clockwise flow towards Heathrow and central London, which works in favour of this route for most of the day.

After a short run on the M25 the driver exits onto the M23 southbound, which leads directly to the airport boundary without any further changes of road.

Arriving at Gatwick - Terminal Drop-Off

Gatwick operates from two terminals, North and South, linked by a free shuttle transit that runs day and night. When you book your transfer we ask which airline you are flying with, so the driver already knows which terminal to head for and drops you at the correct set-down point without any detour.

The drop-off zones sit a short walk from check-in and security in both terminals, and the driver will unload your luggage onto a trolley before you head inside.
